What can I measure with it?

Anything on the stainless platform, in grams or ounces, down to 1-gram graduation. That's fine enough to track protein portions accurately - the difference between 30g and 45g of chicken is about 5 grams of protein, and this scale sees it.

Does it come with batteries?

No - it's battery powered and batteries are not included, so have a pair ready when it arrives. The LED display is easy to read and the scale tares to zero for weighing into bowls or plates.

What's the maximum capacity?

We're confirming that with our incoming sample - the supplier makes 5kg and 10kg variants and we won't guess. Either covers any kitchen use; we'll update this page the day we know which ships.

Do I need to weigh food forever?

No - and we don't recommend it. Most people weigh for 2-3 weeks to calibrate their eye, then switch to spot-checks. The scale is a calibration tool, not a life sentence. Our Lab comparison explains the approach.
